Annie
Lennox is a BRIT, Golden Globe, Grammy and Academy-Award winning Scottish pop
musician and singer, who has been called "The Greatest White Soul Singer
Alive." She has had a successful career as both a solo artist and as the lead
singer of the duo, Eurythmics, with David A. Stewart. Annie Lennox has also been
actively involved in many causes for a better world, such as advocating for human
rights with Amnesty International; supporting children's rights through UNICEF
and Save The Children; Fair Trade with Oxfam's Make Trade Fair program; environmental
activism with organizations like Greenpeace; and in 2006 she received the prestigious
Observer Ethical Award for Campaigner of the Year on behalf of her work with Make
Poverty History.
