The Eleanor Roosevelt Award
For Human Rights

The Eleanor Roosevelt Award for Human Rights was presented by President by President Bill Clinton in 1998 on the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, to honor Eleanor Roosevelt's important role in the creation of this important document at the United Nations. The award was then given out each year until 2001, when President Clinton left office. In 2005, the American Rights at Work Education Fund resumed presenting the annual Eleanor Roosevelt Award for Human Rights to continue celebrating Eleanor Roosevelt's role of championing workers' rights as human rights. www.americanrightsatwork.org/awards-celebration/honorees-381-381/
